Wat Nang Phaya & Wat Ratchaburana

Wat Nang Phaya is in a quiet soi across from Wat Yai. Said to have been built in the mid-14th Century, it has a very similar Buddha statue to the more famous Phra Phuttha Chinnarat. Being much less visited, it makes for a calmer experience. Taking the footbridge over the highway, Wat Ratchaburana is reached; its 600-year-old, huge brick chedi is visible from some distance away. The main gold Buddha there is in Sukhothai style.

Wats Phra Si Rattana Mahathat (Wat Yai), Want Nang Phaya and Wat Ratchaburana form a neat triangle which is easily walkable.
