Possessing  a Buddha relic in the large Uthong-style stupa, the wat is seen a community anchor where one goes to make merit. Reviews mention the large grounds and sense of space leading to a serene atmosphere, ideal for introspection and reflection. The day that we visited there wasn’t soul in sight, nor any signage that might lead to the images seen online. It was serene, it’s true, but there was not much to suggest the detour to get there was worth it. Perhaps a weekend would be a better option.
