Developed over a period of 50 years, this huge site features several wats and row upon row of Buddhas. The main Buddha at 15 metres tall, is visible from some distance away. It is an hour’s drive from Bangkok or 40 minutes from Suphanburi, but to be fair, it is all a bit tumbledown and in need to some TLC. The star attraction is supposedly the Hell Garden, replete with a hungry ghosts section, all of which shows what is in store for sinners. The statues revel in gore, making
​it fairly gruesome to walk amongst them - definitely not one for the children!
