This wat doesn’t get many reviews, and it is certainly off the beaten track, being forty minutes south-east of Udon Thani along roads which have seen better days. It is visited mainly for blessings in connection with good fortune in business. It is, in fact, rather striking in appearance due to its lay-out and the fact that it is built from laterite blocks - or faux laterite? Once inside, there are plenty of visitors making merit and a steady queue for an individual audience with the monks. With its quirky design it should definitely be in the list if visiting Udon Thani.
