Sai Thong National Park is 70 kms west of the city of Chaiyaphum. The park was created in 1992 and is popular for its waterfalls, viewpoints and fields of flowers. Campsites cater for visitors, with equipment also for hire. It is quite a long uphill drive from the park entrance to the campsite at Pha Pho Mueang, from there it is a short walk to the Khao Phang Hoei Viewpoint and the cliffs. The pose-highlight there is the ledge called Pha Haam Hod. Expect crowds at the campsite during the rainy season when the fields at Bua Sawan 1 & 2 feature swaying red Dork Kratchiao (Ginger flowers). To get there you follow the path adjacent to the cliff for about two kms both ways.
