Penang island lies off the north-west coast of Malaysia by the Malacca Strait. It has a long history and was known as the 'Pearl of the Orient' during colonial times. Reasons to visit these days, might be the beaches, the food or the ambience of the capital, George Town - possibly a combination of all three. The street art in George Town is abundant but focused on a few streets. In fact, the most famous works will be sign-posted in your travel guide and you will likely have to queue for your photo next to them.
